The Chef and Somm. Dinner! for Thursday, January 28, 2021

Chef John Brazie and Sommelier TJ Satriano cordially invite you to an evening of fantastic food and wine with a twist. We?ve been talking to each other, and only each other, for too long thanks to Covid so we?ll be stepping out from behind the scenes for an evening of great food and wine in the Vintage Room. Part cooking demo, part podcast, part wine education, mostly tall tales, and an irreverent take on the staunch world of Food & Wine.


This evening, we?ll be featuring the wines of Rioja Spain which is a personal favorite for the quality of wine and price point. Rioja is a growing region in the north that produces world-class wines predominately from the red Tempranillo grape. We?ll also feature a white that in my personal opinion is a perfect pairing with Cheetos, Fritos, Doritos? or any of the other ?ito? family members. And because it is my favorite wine for any occasion we?ll have some Cava. Cava is a sparkling wine made in the Champagne method in Spain. It is cheap, bubbly, delicious, and makes you happy! Really all you could ask of most wines and most occasions. We?ll also share stories such as ?The time I fell off a barstool: Cava? and ?I?ve had way too much wine to be at Park Meadows.?


While we try at least once a week to live off wine and wine alone it?s unsustainable, or at the very least will get me in a bunch of trouble at home, so it?s a must that we have food to compliment. John couldn?t let the wine steal the show so he is preparing Braised Lamb Shanks Moncalvillo, Polenta, Killer Good Bread, and a few extras! If you leave hungry or sober it?s your fault.
